Mobile App

A mobile app is available to practice words. Teams registered for the competition get broader access to words. Please reach out to your Zonal Coordinators for details.

Tamil Audio

On iOS devices Settings->Accessibility->Spoken Content->Speech Selection->Voices->Tamil->Vai (Enhanced) and download it. Mute button should be in unmute setting.

On Android

• Install Gboard App if you haven’t and add Tamil (India) language
• In settings, search for Text-to-Speech->Preferred engine->Synthesis from Google
• Check your phone’s Media volume if audio is too low or muted.

Check your device’s websites for latest documentation to enable additional languages for text to speech / accessibility.

If the Audio plays fast or slow, refer to your device Settings. Both iOS and Android provides a setting to adjust how fast the devices plays back text-to-speech audio.

Word List

Not all words may be available all the time. Public users may see a few categories. If you are registered for the current year’s competition, your team may be able to access all words for the competition. Check with your Tamil Theni School Coordinator or Zonal Coordinator for details.

NOTE: Always refer to website for official published words for the competition. This App is a companion app for additional practice.

Sample Questions

Questions from past competitions are provided for few categories. If you are a school or club and want access to other questions, contact info@tamiltheni.org or your zonal coordinator. We might be able to give access to specific users in your school/club, and there may be a small fee.
